My journey to creating A Vintage Market Place has been a little bit of everything — a love for beautiful things, a passion for creating, and a desire to bring unique pieces with a story into people’s homes.

 

I grew up in the charming coastal town of Manchester-by-the-Sea, where I developed an appreciation for character, history, and the beauty found in things that stand the test of time. In 2002, my family and I made our way to Florida, with life taking us through different places along the way — from Georgia to South Carolina and back to Florida. It wasn’t until around 2007 that my love for all things vintage truly came to life. I started collecting unique pieces that caught my eye — furniture, home decor, and treasures that had a story behind them. Before long, I realized I wasn’t just collecting… I was discovering pieces that deserved a new home while creating space to find the next one.

 

Along the way, I discovered another passion: building and creating. I began working with wood, refinishing furniture, and transforming forgotten or overlooked pieces into something completely new and one-of-a-kind. There was something special about taking an older piece and giving it a fresh purpose while still preserving its character. That passion eventually became A Vintage Market Place, which opened its doors in 2019. What started as a small business in a location off US1 has grown into the beautiful space we have today on Cypress Avenue in Melbourne.

Today, our shop is a place where vintage meets creativity. We offer unique vintage furniture and home decor, refinished and upcycled pieces, and custom furniture created specifically for our clients — from choosing the style and wood to selecting the perfect colors and details.

 

We are also proud to have 13 amazing vendors who bring their own collections, styles, and treasures into our space, making every visit a new experience. Our goal has always been simple: to create a place where vintage finds their next home. We are grateful to be part of this community and thankful for everyone who has supported this small business journey from 2019 to today.
